Oz Comic Con 2026

15-16th August 2026. Canberra.

Unsure of what to expect at my first Comicon, I set off with the truck and Viper trailer and a couple of mates to help out. The event organisers were very helpful in getting us located right in front of the main entrance.

Crowds arrived and lined up for the con, many stopping by the Viper while they waited, to ask questions. We gave it a run now and then to let the people feel the full force of sound and motion, until it was time to drop the rope and let folks up the ladder. For the next two days there was a steady stream of families, kids and cosplayers up and down the ladder to view the cockpit first-hand and get some cool photos.

A couple of bouts of rain had us covering the Viper with tarps, but the showers were fleeting so interruptions were minimised. So far we’ve had rain at all three public events.
